Outdoor Enthusiasts of Converse County
The OECC is a 501(c)(3) organization promoting outdoors recreation opportunites in our area. We are continually raising money to help our community and have used such money to do things like: clean up trails and install new signs at Duncan Ranch, install a new Story Walk on the Platte River Trail, give away Youth Lifetime Conservation Stamps, purchase and install new archery targets at Bartling Park, organize Ride, Row, Run Triathlon in conjunction with Jackalope Days, and organize other races such as Nacho Libre 5k, Glendo Lake Trail Race, and Run Run Rudolph 5k.
Currently we are raising money to hire expert trail designers to construct a mountain bike skills park on land provided by the city east of Washington Park. This park will be a place for all ages to enjoy and should have flow lines, jumps, step-ups, and step-downs.
