Outdoor Enthusiasts of Converse County

The Mountain Bike Skills Park is a collaborative attempt between the OECC and the city of Douglas to create a mountain biking venue usable for all ages and skill levels. Both entities believe that creating such a venue will encourage local youths to be active, will bring in income and tax dollars from non-local users, and will be a selling point for businesses and families to relocate to the Douglas community.

Currently this park is still in the planning stages, but the hope is to create a facility with flow lines, jumps, step-ups, and step-downs to benefit beginers and advanced riders both. This park would be built on the hillsides 1 block east of Washington Park on land owned by the city. A well known bike park builder has been recruited to design the trails to be built.
